Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.
— Soren Kierkegaard

This is my very first blog post. I've been sitting at my kitchen table staring at my computer screen for the last 20 minutes. It is a frightening proposition to make your thoughts tangible and put them out there for the world. So, I have an Olivia Pope sized glass of wine and a bowl of popcorn to channel my inner gladiator. I need to let go of trying to be witty, or smart, or enlightening, and just get my words down on the screen.

I've always known that great leaders are reflective, contemplative, and constantly seeking to refine their skills. But, in this fast-paced life, I haven't found a medium, or in all honesty, prioritized the time, to make reflection a part of my reality. I'm hoping that putting pen to paper (or fingers to keys) will further my personal and professional growth and help me develop relationships with other like-minded and not-so-like-minded educators. I offer special thanks to Holly Steele for being my personal technology tutor and to Dr. Bob Pletka for allowing me the autonomy to try something new. So here it goes...let the journey begin.
